One of Bill's grad students, Brett, and his wife, Lorry, were visiting this past week. Brett was doing some work with Bill and Lorry came along for the ride. We had them over for dinner and then they stayed with the kids while Bill and I went out. It was so great. We had no plans and were so tired but thought we should take advantage.
We ended up just walking around town and then stopped to share a sandwich and dessert. It was at a restaurant that isn't great for kids so a good time to try it!
It was nice being together and reconnecting away from the chaos.
